The website was designed by Stone herself and implemented by Big Sea Design & Development, a Tampa Bay based company located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.
“I am humbled and grateful to receive the Gold honor by the Independent Publisher Book Awards,” said Dawna Stone. “My goal is to provide a user-friendly website for men and women to find information they want and need to build a foundation for a healthier lifestyle through wholesome eating and better lifestyle habits.”
DawnaStone.com focuses on healthy eating and weight loss through recipes, videos, and blog posts. Upon exploring the site, visitors will find original, clean and wholesome recipes like Grilled Halibut with Tomato-Mango Salsa or Quinoa Salad with Black Beans and Avocado. Frequent how-to videos such as “6 Smart & Healthy Food Substitutions” and “The Best Calcium-Rich Foods for your Diet” provide useful information that can be applied to everyday life. The popular “Healthy Made Easy” blog will navigate you through real life challenges and provide you with the tools for weight loss success. The website also features self-help books authored by Stone, including “Healthy You!” and “Winning Nice.”

ABOUT THE INDEPENDENT PUBLISHER BOOK AWARDS:
The “IPPY” Awards, launched in 1996, are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers. Since the inaugural contest nearly 5,000 books have received IPPY Awards, and all the recognition, credibility, and increased sales that a book award can bring. Independent spirit and expertise comes from publishers of all sizes and budgets, and books are judged with that in mind. The Awards are owned and operated by Jenkins Group, a publishing services company founded 1988 and located in Traverse City, Michigan.
