    1. Walmart, Publix, Aldi’s, and Whole Foods sell Almond milk. I like Silk, but I think they all sell their version of almond milk.

      1. Hi Tish,
Have you ever tried the Almond Breeze Brand? It has a much better flavor than the Silk Brand.

  1. If I am following the 14 day plan, can I add chia seeds to my smoothie. Also do you know how many calories the plan amounts to on a daily basis?

  2. Hello Dawna,

I will be grocery shopping today for my food stamps has come in. I do not have a blender for will check my account and see I can at least buy one at the Goodwill, for this way will have one. Unsweetened Almond Milk can be bought in the grocery store. I drink this milk myself and is very good. Have 40 to 50 pounds more to lose and will be glad when I have lost it and will still and always eat the healthy way.

    Bless,

    1. Hi Lenore: Yes, you can drink black coffee during the 14-Day Healthy You Challenge (caffeine is not an eliminated item during the program). That being said, refrain from adding sugar, creamer and artificial sweeteners to your coffee. If you need something to sweeten your coffee, try adding a splash of almond or soy milk (as you suggest).

  3. Hi Dawna! Doing well with the diet so far. I was just wondering if there is any good way to store left overs after 3 bean salad? Can I freeze it?

    1. Hi Lori: Since we are trying to be 100% clean during the challenge, I would steer clear of processed protein powders for at least these 14 days. If protein isn’t included in breakfast (i.e. like the days that we have super green juice or radiant red juice), you should be getting plenty of protein from your lunch and dinner. If you want more protein in your smoothies, you can substitute soy milk for the almond milk.
