- 3 tomatoeschopped
- 1/2cup finely chopped onion
- 1small jalapeño chile pepperseeded and minced (optional), wear plastic gloves when handling
- 1/4cup minced cilantro
- 2tablespoons lime juice
- sea salt
- 8 100% corn tortillas

- To make the salsa: In a mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, onion, pepper, cilantro, and lime juice. Season to taste with salt.
- To make the tortilla chips: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut each tortilla into 4 to 6 triangular pieces. Arrange the pieces on a baking sheet and sprinkle lightly with salt. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping once, or until the pieces are crisp and just beginning to brown slightly. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the tortilla chips cool. Serve the chips with the salsa.
